Every year, tens of thousands of Chinese reportedly have plastic surgeries in Korea in the name of medical travel, converging into what is called a “Korean plastic surgery” fever. “Korean-style” plastic surgery is featured, yet China’s medical plastic surgery service level is definitely not lower than overseas and is somewhat more advanced. As the number of China’s monthly surgeries even exceeds a year’s worth in neighboring countries, China’s medical plastic surgeons are exposed to more practices, and therefore are able to accumulate more clinical experience and achieve more proficient clinical skills, which in turn help promote medical service quality and talent training and development. At present, China’s medical plastic surgery service level has basically reached an international advanced level, with some of these services even being internationally leading. China has become the world’s second largest plastic surgery country, next to the U.S., fully capable of meeting medical plastic surgery demands at different levels.
