Liu Aiguo, from Jimin, was Elected the Direct of First Anhui Overseas Intellectual Association
In order to better contact overseas scientific and technological communities and overseas intellectual experts to help introduce more high-tech projects in Anhui, Anhui Association for Science and Technology established Anhui Overseas Intellectual Experts Association for Innovation of Science and Technology, Feng Changgen, member of the National People's Congress standing committee and vice president of Anhui Association for Science and Technology, attended the meeting and made a speech. Zhao Han was appointed as the first chairman, who is the vice president of the CPPCC in Anhui province, vice president of Anhui Association for Science and Technology, vice president of Hefei University of Technology, doctoral advisor. There were total 35 association directors, Liu Aiguo, dean of Anhui Jimin Cancer Hospital was elected as the association director.
Anhui Overseas Intellectual Experts Association for Innovation of Science and Technology exerts itself in providing service to the returned overseas science and technology experts with high academic influence in Anhui. Liu Aiguo, dean of Anhui Jimin Cancer Hospital, as the “imported overseas high-level talents”, actively participated in Overseas Intellectual Plan. Moreover, Anhui Jimin Cancer Hospital as the member unit of Overseas Intellectual Plan, successfully imported and jointly established “Anhui Jimin Cancer Hospital—Canada McGill University Cancer Research Center” with Canada McGill university. At present, the center has successfully passed the review of Overseas Intellectual Annual Plan of China Association for Science and Technology. This center will gather good pharmaceutical resources in Canada and Anhui, so as to realize the complementary of each other’s advantages, and benefit the cancer patients in Anhui province as well as home and abroad.
Overseas Intellectual Plan is the platform of China Association for Science and Technology to actively implement the strategy of developing the country through science and education and human resource, attract and organize overseas science and education workers to serve the country in various ways.
