Fosun Pharma acquired Zhongwu hospital in the city of Suqian of Jiangsu province to actively develop healthcare service segment
Fosun Pharma acquired 55% of Zhongwu hospital in the city of Suqian of Jiangsu province. Zhongwu hospital is a private hospital with 500 beds, ranked No.2 in the city of Suqian. Fosun Pharma expects the hospital to generate RMB 120M revenue in 2012. Zhongwu Hospital was jointly founded by main doctors of Suqian People's Hospital during the medical reform in Suqian. The hospital is located in the central area of the old development zone and has very easy access. It faces Yiwu Trade Town,the largest commodities distribution center in Suqian on the east, and covers a land area of 80 mu.
Zhongwu Hospital is the contracted medical institution in Suqian for urban residents' medical insurance, urban workers' medical insurance, the new rural cooperative medical insurance, life & property insurance, traffic accidents etc., and is also a first-aid station for municipal "120" emergency center. It has leading technologies, brand image and infrastructure as well as sustainable competitive advantages in Suqian, and thus has a huge potential for further development.
