Recently, Fosun has signed strategic cooperation agreement respectively with Pudong district and Jinshan district, planned to set up “Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical Industry Park” respectively in Zhangjiang and Jinshan and made every effort to build high level pharmaceutical development innovation and industrialization bases. The two parks totally need a land of 2,000 mu, an investment about 4-5 billions RMB and a construction period of five years.

According to the plan, the two parks will be differently positioned: in Zhangjian, we will focus on developing the finance of the pharmaceutical headquarter, establishing and managing Zhangjiang bio-pharmaceutical industrialization dedicated fund, constructing a high level medicine research and development as well as traditional Chinese medicine test bases; while in Jinshan, we will mainly develop high level pharmaceutical production and manufacturing base.

In 2009, the establishment of Chongqin Fuchuang Pharmaceutical Research Co., Ltd and Fuhong Hanlin Bio-technology Company starts the milestone for Fosun to research and develop new drugs. In the future, the high level pharmaceutical research and development base of Fosun may enter the new park where a batch of high level research talents will gather, which will accelerate the integration of the pharmaceutical resources of Fosun in Shanghai and the whole country and drive the bio-pharmaceutical industry parks in Shanghai to go toward large size and brand internationalization. These talents are working hard for achieving the bio-pharmaceutical industry development aim in 2012.
