From July 9, 2010 to July 10, Fosun Pharmaceutical held the midyear working conference and strategy seminar in the Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel, with the theme “Strategy to action”, and further specified the strategic goal of company in the coming five years and the vision of becoming the first-tier enterprise in the global mainstream pharmaceutical and healthcare market. In the morning of July 9, Yao Fang, the new president of Fosun Pharmaceutical, reviewed briefly the performance in the first half year, and emphasized on the important work deployed in the second half of year and the development strategy planning in the coming five years. He said that the key point of this round of planning is the development and implementation of the strategy, so that the established strategic goal can be effective broken down, and combine daily work of the staff with the strategic planning, so as to change the strategy into the real action. He called for all staff of Fosun Pharmaceutical to make persistent efforts to totally complete the business plan and budget target in the second half of the year, and deliver solid results to the board of directors and the investors. Talking about the future development strategy, President Yao Fang emphasized that the investment teams and business departments should pay close attention to the main business, strengthen professional capacity building in the pharmaceutical industry; carry through the development strategy, pay more attention to find the market opportunity, strengthen to grasp the investment opportunity which has strategic significance to the company's future growth, accumulate more industry resource for the future development of the company; strengthen their own team and system construction, and support in all levels the reality of the strategic goal of the company.

Wang Qunbin, President of Fosun International and director of Fosun Pharmaceutical, came all the way to the conference and made an important speech. He affirmed the achievements of Fosun Pharmaceutical in investment and financing work and team building, and pointed out that, Fosun Pharmaceutical needed to make continuous innovation, deliver health, and enrich the brand connotation of “innovation”. He said that besides in technology and product level, in fact, we also need to consider how to make full use of innovation to obtain healthier profit, healthier pharmaceutical industry, healthier customers, employees and investors, and even healthier entire policy environment. We call for more and more excellent staff, teams to participate in working together to realize our dream.

At the conference, all leaders of business and functional departments made the work report for the first half year and speech over the future development strategy. In order to better implement the strategy, the conference had specially arranged the training about the balancing scorecard, and carried out group discussion. Chen Qiyu, the chairman of Fosun Pharmaceutical made the summaries, he thanked everyone for great contributions made to the development of the company, and hoped that everyone could adapt to the new work mechanism as soon as possible after the leadership transition of board of directors, and carried out the further work in the second half of the year, so as to enable the new leadership and team to deliver solid result in 2010.
